A field trial was carried-out to find out the effect of conjunctive use of organic and inorganic sources of nitrogen on yield attributes and yield cotton and its residual effect on succeeding sunflower seed yield. The treatments consisted of eight treatments for cotton comprising of two levels of fertilizers viz. 50, 100% (60:30:30 N, P_2O_5 and K_2O kg/ha), two organic sources viz. 121 of FYM and mungbean intercrop incorporation alone and in combination along with control. The treatments for sunflower comprising two levels of fertilizers viz. 50 and 100% (80:40:40 N, P_2O_5 and K_2O kg/ha) along with control. The treatments were arranged in randomized block design for cotton and that of split plot Design for sunflower with three replications. The results showed and highest residual effect in terms of sunflower seed yield was recorded with the plants which received FYM either alone or in combination with other sources. Direct application of 100% RDF was superior in enhancing yield attributes and yield over its lower levels.
