China's Chengtun raises Co, Cu output in 2020

Chinese mining and metals company Chengtun Mining raised its output and sales for copper, cobalt and zinc in 2020, with new nickel production facilities also launched last year. Chengtun's cobalt hydroxide production was 6,434t of metal equivalent in 2020, up by 68.8pc from 2019, with sales up by 81.2pc to 6,678t over the same period. The firm produced 28,179t of copper metal in 2020, up by 161.8pc from 2019, with sales up by 176.2pc to 28,472t.
