Hydromet plans 1,000 t/ yr Li-ion recycling plant

India's Hydromet Technology Solutions plans to establish a 1,000 t/yr lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery recycling plant in Gujarat to recover lithium, cobalt and nickel from spent batteries, paving the way for securing crucial battery metals supply for reuse. Private-sector Hydromet has received consent from Gujarat state's pollution board to establish the recycling plant, which will be based on the company's patented Hy-BREC technology.
