Every Memmert CO2 incubator ICOmed is classified as a Class lla medical device. It is intended for the creation and maintenance of constant environmental conditions for applications in the field of in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) as well as for gene expression and biosynthesis. The goal 'safety at all times' guided the development of the ultra-precise and sensitive Memmert ICOmed. Due to a battery buffer, CO2 supply and control, operating display as well as data logging stay functional in case of a power failure. In case, the individually adjustable ranges for CO2, O2, temperature and humidity are surpassed the ICOmed can send alarm messages to a mobile phone. All parameters are of course logged in accordance with the FDA.
