摘要

At first glance, the fat candy-pink drips from a melting ice lolly could well satisfy your desire for cold and sweet. But look closer: that colourful coating isn't of sugar sprinkles but the multicoloured plastic heads of spiky dressmaker's pins. Reminiscent of advertising, the photograph Another Day on Earth (far right) depicts the inseparable yin-yang of pleasure and pain intrinsic to all cravings. The short film Feed Me (below left) presents a dystopia where commercialisation and sexualisation reign supreme and all whim is indulged. And the installation The Curtain of Broken Dreams (right) comprises 1607 abandoned wedding rings, representing a fraction of the UK's annual divorces.
