摘要

CO complete oxidation at room temperature under moisture has the key difficulty in low loading of noble metal compounds. In this paper, a series of Pd-Co functionalized mesoporous carbon-based (meso-C) catalysts were masterly designed, and meso-C support was prepared by the hard template method. Pd-Co/meso-C catalysts exhibited the high catalytic activity of CO oxidation, the superior Pd-Co/meso-C catalyst showed excellent water-resistance, which could maintain 100% conversion beyond 200 h at room temperature. Through a series of characterizations, the superior Pd-Co/meso-C catalyst pos- sessed higher activity due to smaller cobaltosic oxide (Co3O4) particle size, excellent reducibility, abundant surface active oxygen species, higher tetravalent Pd content, etc. Therefore, it was concluded that the reaction mechanism of CO oxidation on Pd-Co/meso-C followed the Langmuir-Hinshelwood + Redox mechanism according to above characterization and activity results. The deactivation of noble metal catalyst was reasonably solved by controlling the dispersion and particle size of Pd-Co.
