Serial Routing Goes 'Virtual'

One of the goals of SLA's Information Center is to be a role model for information centers. The relocation of SLA headquarters to Alexandria was a great opportunity for the Information Center to become more "virtual," and we have therefore ceased routing print publications in favor of distributing electronic tables of contents (TOCs). We are using Factiva and Infotrieve products for this service, which is less cumbersome than the physical distribution of publications...and less time-consuming and frustrating than the inevitable discovery of the AWOL journal (a common experience amongst us all, I'm sure).
