Oversupply, low demand to weigh on Bi prices

Chinese bismuth prices are expected to come under pressure from surplus supplies in the domestic market and weaker demand from outside of China. Prices rose to 36,000-37,000 yuan/t ($5,172-5,316/t) on 10 March as producers reduced output in the past weeks amid an absence of feedstock suppliers in the coronavirus outbreak. But an expected fall in exports is likely to prevent prices from rising further.
