Europe Al: Premiums flat but set to rise further

European aluminium premiums were flat over the past week as trading operations wound down ahead of the year-end period, but the market remains under upward pressure with no sign of any dip in strong Chinese demand going into the first quarter of 2021. Argus assessed the weekly P1020 in-warehouse Rotterdam duty-paid premiums at $140-150/t today, flat to a week ago, while duty-unpaid premiums stayed at $110-120/t.
