US Zn: Premiums unchanged ahead of holiday

US special high-grade (SHG) zinc spot premiums were unchanged for the week with participants winding down as holidays loom. Argus assessed US special high-grade (SHG) zinc premi- ums at 7-8.5￠/lb, holding for the week with limited activity before the holidays. The market was very quiet as many market participants were out on holiday or wrapping up for year-end. Annual contract deals are 90-95pc completed for 2021 but some consumers were looking for the lower rates on spot deals to start the new year.
