Northern Rare Earth raises 3Q output, sales

Chinese light rare earth producer Northern Rare Earth re- ported higher output and sales of most rare earth products in July-September, supported by buoyant domestic demand from the magnet and hydrogen storage sectors. The firm produced 3,838t of rare earth metals in July- September, up by 41pc from a year earlier. Its sales in- creased by 25.7pc from a year earlier to 4,178t during the third quarter. The higher output and sales were attributed to stronger demand from the downstream magnet industry.
