China: Prices hold on low trading activity

Prices for ferro-molybdenum and ferro-vanadium held unchanged in the past two days amid limited spot trading activity. Firm concentrate feedstock costs offset lower-than-expected tender prices from steelmakers to leave the alloy market flat. Domestic prices for 60pc grade alloy held stable at 113,000-116,000 yuan/t ex-works, or Yn188-193/kg ($28.81- 29.58/kg) for contained molybdenum, today. Export prices for the alloy also remained unchanged at $28.70-29.20/kg fob today.
