Battery Future Acquisition, a special purpose acquisition company with its roots in Australia and the US, is planning to list on the New York Stock Exchange after raising funds to invest in assets in the rapidly growing global battery value chain. The new firm, founded by investment bankers and corporate finance specialists, is planning to raise $250mn to add to existing funds with the aim of investing in strategic assets that contribute to diversifying battery supply chains and reducing carbon emissions.
