China's antimony prices to hold firm

The Chinese antimony market is expected to remain stable in the short term with most market participants awaiting a demand recovery from downstream consumers looking to replenish stocks before the year-end. Prices for 99.65pc grade metal were last assessed stable at 71,500-72,500 yuan/t ($11,189-11,346/t) on 25 November, following a fall of Yn2,000/t on 23 November. Prices rose to a nine-year high of Yn77,000-79,000/t on 19 October driven by widespread production shutdowns in Hunan's Lengshuijiang city.
