BP invests in Aulton for battery swapping

British multinational oil and gas company BP will invest in Chinese electric vehicle equipment manufacturer Aulton New Energy Automotive Technology to develop battery swapping services. BP will become a shareholder of Aulton's subsidiary Guangzhou Aulton after the deal. The joint venture will provide battery swapping services to taxis, ride-hailing cars and other passenger vehicles in Guangzhou in south China's Guangdong province.
