Metal futures: Markets mixed on PMI data

Base metal prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) were mixed in Friday's official session following Thursday's sell off as the dollar dipped from one-year highs while macro concerns remained present. The three-month LME copper contract rose by 0.9pc to $9,101/t while Comex's next most active month copper contract gained 2.4pc to $4.19/lb. The LME copper contract shed 1.8pc and while Comex's December copper contract fell by 2.3pc since closing on 24 September.
