Sojitz buys Gregory Crinum coking coal mine

Japanese trading giant Sojitz Corporation has agreedto pay A$100m for the shuttered Gregory Crinumcoking coal operation in central Queensland, ownedby the BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA).Included in the sale are the 6 mt/y capacityCrinum underground mine, where miningstopped in 2015, and the Gregory open cut mine,undeveloped coal resources and infrastructure suchas coal preparation plant facilities.
