According to the WSA preliminary report, the global steel production reached1661.5 million t in 2014, up just 1.2% year-on-year. The average daily outputtotaled 4.55 million t (4.5 million t after revision for 2013). It has been the first timein many years that China’s pace of growth lagged behind the rest of the world.
