In 2013, competition between consumers will somewhat soften in view of theexpected scrap consumption downturn caused by postponements in commissioningof new electric steelmaking facilities, among other reasons; this is expected tosupport regional market balance. The Central and Volga Federal Districts willremain the key suppliers of scrap. Sales will be mostly made to the Urals FederalDistrict, where the mills will suffer from scrap shortage despite the expecteddecline in production needs.
