Alaska oil output dips in June;new projects to add production in late 2021

Alaska North Slope production showed an expected seasonal dip in June as warmer weather made oil processing facilities less efficient,but producers are on track to add new production later this year and in early 2022.Total slope production was down 6,926 b/d in June compared with May to 474,662 b/d,according to data from the Alaska Department of Revenue.Output at Prudhoe Bay,the slope's largest field operated by Hilcorp Energy,was down by 1,492 b/d month on month.The Alpine field,operated by ConocoPhillips,was down by 2,953 b/d.But the Kuparuk River field,which ConocoPhillips also operates,was up slightly by 210 b/d.The small Lisburne field,which Hilcorp operates,fell by 2,690 b/d.The Lisburne production figure includes output from a number of smaller satellite accumulations processed in the Lisburne production facility in the Prudhoe Bay field.
