Singapore—Taiwanese electric arc furnace steelmaker Feng Hsin Iron and Steel continued with its fourth consecutive week of price hikes within the local ferrous scrap market, though by a smaller magnitude this round due to slower rebar offtakes, a source from the company said. After the latest hike, the company’s bids for domestic HMS I/II 80:20 delivered to its Taichung mill will be at T$11,600/mt ($414/mt), up T$200/mt from a week ago, and effective March 9.
