Singapore—Taiwanese electric arc furnace steelmaker Feng Hsin Iron and Steel cut bids for local ferrous scrap, halting four straight weeks of hikes, amid a sell off in the seaborne market, a source from the company told S&P Global Platts. The company’s bids for domestic HMS I/II 80:20 delivered to its Taichung mill were cut T$300/mt ($10.6/mt) on the week and will be at T$11,300/mt ($400/mt), effective March 16.
