US major Exxon Mobil was suspended from a DC business group advocating a carbon price weeks after a company lobbyist was caught on tape saying the policy stood little chance in Washington. “After careful consideration, we have decided to suspend Exxon Mobil’s membership in both the Council and Americans for Carbon Dividends, our advocacy arm,” said Greg Bertelsen, CEO of the Climate Leadership Council (CLC).
