Oil and gas operators pursuing bold energy transition goals have been ramping up their green investments, and the trend is expected to accelerate this year. An Energy Intelligence study of low-carbon spending by 26 global oil and gas players showed their combined outlays rising sharply to $24 billion in 2020 from $11 billion in 2019, driven mainly by European companies.
