Exxon Doubles Renewable Diesel Agreement

Exxon Mobil has doubled a supply agreement for renewable diesel to sell into California’s rapidly evolving transport fuel market. The US major said Thursday that it will now purchase up to 5 million bbl (210 million gallons) of renewable diesel per year from Global Clean Energy, twice the volumes contracted last year (OD Aug.18’20). Exxon will largely market the lower-carbon fuel within California, but also has other US and international markets potentially on its radar.
