Recovery Propels US Gasoline Demand: EIA

The outlook for gasoline consumption in the US this summer has improved, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), as the economic recovery from the pandemic continues to pick up speed. In its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, the agency now estimates that gasoline demand in the April-September period will average nearly 9 million barrels per day, up by roughly 100,000 b/d from its previous forecast.
