摘要

As President Joe Biden pushes forward with a climate-focused energy agenda, the White House has pledged to phase out public financing of international spending on gas, oil and coal projects -a significant shift for a federal government that has actively touted LNG exports and spent billions of dollars in recent years to underpin such projects overseas. The move, along with other policy signals in recent weeks, makes clear that LNG will not be a linchpin of the Biden trade agenda in the way it was during the Trump administration, when the focus was on bolstering markets for US gas.
