US Midwest: UAN postings up, despite softer urea prices

UAN offers available to retailers are firmly higher this week, after several weeks of efforts by suppliers to achieve as much as $11.41/unit FOB, according to independent distributors. Sellers' leverage with retailers improved after it emerged that a planned turnaround of the UAN unit at the Iowa Fertilizer Co./OCI nitrogen complex at Wever, Iowa would be down for 45 days, rather than 30 as expected. Previously the high end of the Midwest range was $10.47/unit FOB.
