The US shipped no green petroleum coke to India in December, the frst month since June 2011 that the typically top coke importing country took no US supply. India has been the largest importer of US green coke since 2014, with the exception of 2018, when regulatory uncertainty cut demand. But a record premium for US Gulf petroleum coke against the most commonly used coals on a cfr India basis has starkly limited demand in recent months.
