Big European Market Seen for Hydrogen

Hydrogen demand in the EU and the UK could reach 2,300 terawatt hours (218.3 Bcm) by 2050, equivalent to as much as a quarter of the region's final energy consumption, according to the European Hydrogen Backbone initiative. The initiative is made up of a group of 23 European natural gas infrastructure companies collaborating to plan a pan-European hydrogen transport network.
