Chinese Firm Buys Permian Assets

Surge Energy America has signed a deal to buy Grenadier Energy Partners II’s assets in the Permian Basin for about $420 million. Grenadier’s footprint includes 18,010 net leasehold acres with production about 9,000 boe/d and 120 future drilling locations, according to a statement from Surge. Grenadier Energy Partners II is a private E&P backed by EnCap Investments and Kayne Anderson.
