Abu Dhabi Moves to Make Its Crude More Tradable

Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (Adnoc) plans to remove destination restrictions from all of its crude grades and make just over half of its Murban grade’s total production capacity available for export over the next 12 months (IOD Jan.13’21). The moves are part of Adnoc’s efforts to make its crude grades more attractive as it prepares for the Mar. 29 launch of a futures contract for its prime grade, Murban, on the new ICE Futures Abu Dhabi Exchange (IFAD).
