Gasoline margins rise on summer demand

European gasoline margins rose on frmer demand for summer grades, while jet fuel and fuel oil margins weakened owing to sluggish consumption. Eurobob oxy’s premium to North Sea Dated crude rose by $2.83/bl to $6.03/bl, as margins regained losses prompted by surging crude prices a week earlier (see graph). Demand is also being supported by the switch to summer gasoline at the end of the month, despite falling exports on the transatlantic route.
