Field measurements were carried out in 4 (four) living rooms and 6 (six) bedrooms in Chongqing from 8th August to 5th September in 2015. The indoor temperature, outdoor temperature, relative humidity and occupant's control of thermal environment including air conditioning usage and window opening were recorded. The results show that mean indoor temperature of the living room on the 26th floor was the lowest (27.4°C), and the highest on the 20th floor (29.2°C), where the west-oriented window wall contributed to higher temperature. The mean indoor temperature of five bedrooms was around 27.6°C~28°C. However, in the room where air conditioner was frequently used, the temperature was 27.1°C. The characteristics of air conditioner (AC) usage, of living and bed rooms, and of three groups (student, worker and old people) were discussed. The logistic regression was adopted to explore the relationship between air conditioner usage and average outdoor temperature.
