ExxonMobil loses proxy fight with activist investor Engine No. 1

Activist investor Engine No. 1 won three seats on ExxonMobil's board of directors in a vote held during the company's annual shareholder meeting on 26 May. Nine of ExxonMobil's 12 nominees were reelected. The company announced the news on 2 June, noting that final certification of the results was still underway.
