摘要

This article highlights the main factors that determine the oscillation process of an umbilical cable-tethered underwater vehicle system. Cable systems are widespread in various fields of technology: aircraft cable rigging, parachute systems, suspension bridge supports, marine terminal cables, and so on. A mathematical model is constructed for the oscillation process. The calculation results determined the dependences of the oscillation amplitude of the tethered underwater vehicle on the amplitude and oscillation frequency of the umbilical cable attachment point to the vessel. No methodology for calculating oscillations in tethered systems with an assessment of the influence of the design parameters has ever been constructed before now.
