Limited supply to prevent prices from falling

In early autumn, scrap prices continued to grow in the world markets. In mid-September, HMS No. 1&2 (80:20) imported from EU and US was available to Turkishsteelmakers at $395-405 /t C&F, against $380-400/t a month before. In the Far East,HMS No.1 ex-US is quoted at $410/t C&F, up $20/t from August. Meanwhile, theJapanese HMS No. 2 prices remained unchanged at $390/t C&F.
