Using data science to check flow meters

Flowmeters are critical equipment in the oil and gas industry, because the flow measurements drive the calculation of how much money is paid for hydrocarbons when they are sold. But they can lose their accuracy over time. Some have been installed incorrectly without anyone knowing about it for years. TUV SUD [UK] National Engineering Laboratory in Glasgow, UK is developing ways to use data science to determine whether or not this is happening.
