摘要

Have you ever been hiking and noticed a plant seemingly growing right out of a rock? You may wonder how the devil this could have happened? Well, chances are there was already a crack in the rock and a seed dropped by a bird or blown in by the wind landed there and was washed down the crack. The magic of germination occurred in that very tiny and secure space and the plant simply grew and grew and grew. The same thing can be said about how well those dastardly weeds grow in a crack of the sidewalk or street. That is Mother Nature's way of crevice gardening and it intrigued me no end. So, I wondered where did this new craze for crevice gardening come from and how could I replicate it in my landscape?
