Observing incident management on the roads

Felicity Heathcote-Marcz recently led an ethnographic research project for Highways England, collecting data allowing the client to better understand the manner in which incidents are managed. She visited regional control centres making observations and conducting interviews to see how closely procedures are followed in real life and whether there were any issues that needed addressing.
