Purpose:To present a requirement analysis method using content and compare essential functions of consumer emotions by analyzing frequently used key words in social network services.Summary:There is rapid increase in the use of social networking services (SNS) such as Facebook, Twitter etc due to advancement in technology of mobile phones, tablet PCs and iPhones. Almost 70% internet users are using SNS also. The growth rate of users of SNS is far more than experienced by radio and TV when they were introduced. SNS connects people of common interests and communication among them is very easy and instantaneous. If the information available about products and services can be gathered from SNS, hen it can provide insights in to peopled perceptions about them. The purpose of this study is to propose a quality requirement analysis using content analysis. This involves six steps that include collecting SNS data, selecting key words, analyzing SNS contents. To facilitate this, a content analysis information system was developed and the system was applied to the quality analysis of two products namely, Samsung Galaxy S2 and Apple iPhone 4. Te results obtained are compared with the requirement analysis method of the Kano survey to investigate the consistency among the methods. (10 refs.)Results:The six steps involved in this process are determining the purpose of analysis, collecting social networking services (SNS) data, selecting functional key words, selecting emotional keywords, analyzing SNS contents, and identifying user requirements.
