THOUGHTS AND REFLECTIONS EFFECT OF GLOBAL WARMING AND CLIMATE CHANGE ON THE SOIL FAUNA - PREDICTIONS AND ANALYSIS

摘要

This paper deals with the predictive studies on the impact of global warming and climate change, both of moisture and temperature, on the soil fauna; any shift or disturbance in the community structure, on account of its altered density, population, biomass, will definitely affect the ecosystem services, like decomposition and degeneration rates of the leaf litters, formation of humus and recycling of nutrient and organic minerals etc. The paper also deals briefly with the phenomenon of global warming and climate change, with causes and consequences.
