Production reaches 2017 high

Opec output rose to its highest this year in June, while compliance with agreed cuts dropped below that of non-Opec producers for the first time. Production hit 32.7mn b/d last month, its highest since December and up by more than 400,000 b/d compared with May (see table). The group's adherence to its supply reduction deal declined to 97pc, while non-Opec producers achieved a compliance rate of more than 100pc for a second consecutive month.
