A laboratory study was carried out to study the pathogenicity of two entomogenous fungi viz. Beauueria bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae on different larval instars and adults of Calopepla leayana. The pathogenicity studies showed differential percentage mortality with respect to different concentrations of spore suspensions. Both the fungal species were found to be significantly pathogenic to all the larval as well as adult stages of C. leayana., causing white and green muscardine disease to thelarvae, respectively. B. bassiana was found more virulent as compared to M. anisopliae. The I-instar larvae were more susceptible to both the fungi, but susceptibility gradually decreased with the increasing age of the larvae. However, the adult mortality was more in comparison to V-instar larvae.
