Advisory Body Recommends Actions to Curb Leaf Blower Noise

A report by the Conservation Advisory Council (CAC) of the Village of Scarsdale, N.Y., is recommending that the Board of Trustees expand current restrictions on the use of gas-powered leaf blowers because of noise and air pollution. "Gas leaf blowers produce noise levels that negatively affect the quality of life for residents and can have serious health consequences for those using them day in and day out," according to the CAC.
