Addressing legal issues in cross-border gestational surrogacy: current topics and trends

This article provides a general overview of the practical management of legal issues in cross-border gestational surrogacy. Particular problems arising from the global pandemic as well as a number of proposed solutions are presented and analyzed. A section addressing the involvement of the fertility center in such arrangements is included. Additionally, the article discusses how parentage and citizenship are handled abroad, with a focus on the United Kingdom. (C) 2020 by American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
