WINDS OF CHANGE IN LATIN AMERICA & THE RISE OF CHINA

摘要

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), from which the USA withdrew in 2017, was revived in March 2018 as the new CPTPP, announcing a comprehensive agreement that wilt promote economic growth, but without the USA. This article states that the CPTPP is animportant step towards open trade and global integration, and aims to provide answers to the question: "How willpost-TPP alliances, free trade and anti-populism policies reshape the tuna industry in the next five years?" The author strongly believes that the only way to go is by opening markets, reducing import tariff rates and removing sanitary and non- sanitary barriers.
