Novatek signs 15-year LNG supply deal with shenergy

Russian operator Novatek has signed a long-term supply agreement with China’s Shenergy for 3mn t/yr of LNG, to be supplied from the planned 19.8mn t/yr Arctic LNG 2 project, for 15 years. The deal, which is for delivery to China on a des basis, is the third long-term agreement that Novatek has signed for Arctic LNG 2 volumes. The company has already tied around 2mn t/yr of its Arctic LNG 2 oftake, having signed 1mn t/yr supply agreements with Spain’s Repsol and trading frm Vitol, with both deals also lasting 15 years.
