Subsea 7 fnally confrms Angolan SLGC victory

Subsea 7 fnally confrmed it has won the contract for Chev-ron’s long stalled Sanha Lean Gas Connection (SLGC) plat-form project off Angola. The contractor has been Chevron’s favourite for the project for more than two years but, as revealed by AOG last June, SLGC was put on hold at the last minute after years of ten-dering despite Sonamet and Subsea 7 having already been ap-proved for the shallow water development in Block 0. At that point Chevron demobilised most of the tender team and engineering frm EDG was told to store anything it had procured, despite the fact that the gas is desperately needed to keep the Angola LNG plant going.
