摘要

A capillary electrophoresis/electrospray ionization massspectrometry(CE/ESI-MS) interface, based on an electric circuitacross a microdialysis membrane surrounding a short capillary segmentclosely connected to the separa- tion capillary terminus, isdemonstrated to be sensitive, efficient, and rugged. A microspraytype ionization emitter produces a stable electrospray at the lowflow rates provided by CE and thus avoids both the need for a makeupliquid flow provided by liquid junction or sheath flow interfaces andthe subsequent dilution and reduction in sensitivity.
